[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This surge protector has been great! I love being able to have multiple outlets in one area especially for my kids room- they have a light a nightlight an Alexa to play white noise at night and a fan. I also have taken it to use in my office for my printer my computer my vacuum my lamp and my Alexa. It’s been really really handy so far in my kids room and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a surge protector. I feel totally safe knowing that it is well-made and I have no doubt that if it was in my office I would have no worries about any of my electronics shutting off or being affected because of the outlet. I definitely recommend this love it and clearly I need to buy another couple of them for the other rooms in my house. Absolutely 10 out of 10!!! There’s no reason not to buy this! It’s fantastic !
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Staples Tech 8-outlet power strip is a quality power strip for my use. So far I have used it to plug in a camera battery charger and to power a red light therapy pad. With both plugged in there was not any loss of power and it worked as expected. I do like how the power strip has spaces for large plugs. So many of the devices now have the large square plug which takes up additional space and makes it impossible to plug other things in beside it. The downside to this however is that there are not as many outlets to plug items into if you did not have the oversized plugs but that is not a deal breaker for me. The power strip is on the larger size so do not expect to put it in a smaller place or in a place that is narrow (which is the main reason I gave it 4 stars). It does have the screw holes on the back should you want to mount it on the wall. Overall I like the power strip and have no complaints!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This 8-outlet surge protector power strip is exactly what I expected and met all my needs both at home and in my classroom. One of the best features is how the outlets are oriented in different directions—this makes it so much easier to plug in all kinds of chargers and adapters without anything getting blocked. At home I’ve used it next to my child’s bed to power a monitor humidifier sound machine and air purifier. It handled all of these without any issues. I haven’t tried using it with anything that draws a lot of power like an A/C unit and probably won’t since those can overload a standard surge protector. In my classroom I’ve used it to plug in several microscopes around the room. Having 8 outlets gave me the flexibility to spread out the equipment which really helped with setup and made it easier for students to access. The 6-foot cord is a good length—long enough to reach tricky spots but not so long that it becomes a tripping hazard. I also really appreciate the 4 500-joule protection. It gives me peace of mind when plugging in sensitive equipment like computers and light microscopes. What I liked most is the rotated plug layout. It’s a small detail that makes a big difference. Overall this surge protector is a smart reliable option for both home and classroom use.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recently added the Staples Tech 8-Outlet Surge Strip (4 500 Joule) to our home office setup and it’s been a fantastic upgrade. My overall impression is that it’s a well-built reliable surge protector that handles multiple devices effortlessly. We use it to power several key home office items—a printer shredder computer charging docks and even a lamp—and everything runs smoothly. Now that I work from home my wife runs a business and our kids are in school keeping everything online and powered up is crucial. The eight outlets provide more than enough capacity without feeling cramped which is a big plus when managing multiple plugs in one area. One of my favorite features is the slim low-profile plug. It sits nearly flush with the wall which means I can push our desk and cabinets all the way back without worrying about damaging the cord or having the outlet stick out awkwardly. It gives the space a much cleaner more organized look which I really appreciate. The only thing it’s missing is built-in USB ports which would have made it even more convenient for charging phones and smaller devices directly. That said for anyone looking to power multiple home office electronics with protection and a tidy appearance this surge strip is a solid choice.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you’re looking for a surge protector with great versatility this is the one for you! With a flat based plug in spaced out plug ins and a long cord you can fit everything you need on this surge protector. I was able to use it for a desktop computer iPhone charger desk lamp and any odds and ins without compromise! I would purchase again for other locations in the house!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Staples Tech 8-Outlet Surge Strip does what it’s supposed to—offers solid surge protection (4 500 joules is no joke) and it feels like a quality product overall. That said there are a few things that didn’t quite hit the mark for me. I used it for my computer setup—desktop dual monitors printer router phone charger etc.—and while it worked fine 8 outlets isn’t really enough for my needs. I’d honestly rather have more outlets squeezed in even if it means a few get partially blocked instead of leaving space that ends up going unused. Another thing is the 6-foot cord. That might be enough for a modern setup but in my old house with weirdly placed outlets I could really use a longer reach. I had to shift furniture around just to make it work. One big miss for me: no USB-A or USB-C ports. These days it feels like USB charging ports should be standard on a surge strip. I have to plug in separate adapters just to charge my phone and tablet which kind of defeats the point of having extra outlets. What I did like is the strong surge protection and the indicator lights that let me know things are properly grounded and protected. So it’s a dependable power strip but not quite modern or flexible enough for what I need.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This isn’t your normal 2-4 outlet strip! We all know its always annoying when all the plug ins are full when you’re needing to charge your phone. But not with this outlet surge strip. It allows you to plug in 8 different appliances at one time and charges them all with its 4 500 joules. I’ve plugged in phones fans sound machines speakers and it’s charged them to 100% super fast. So it’s very convenient when you only have one or two outlets in a room and have many dead appliances. I would say the only downside is that it’s sorta bulky but If you’re looking for a great power strip I definitely recommend this one!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This surge protector does the job. It’s a basic tool with a good length cord. The best things about it is it has a flat plug and the sockets are spaced out. So far I’ve been using it to charge iPads and iPhones and have had no issues. It doesn’t have any of the extra things like usb/usb-c ports but if you’re looking for a solid surge protector it fits the bill. I wish it had different orientation with the sockets (for instance the round hole on the outside edge on the left and on the inside edge on the right that way you could change the orientation of the plug or item you plugged in. But that’s not a deal breaker. It’s a good surge protector with a flat plug and widely spaced sockets.
