Scotch Thermal Laminator Rocks!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I must say, I had been wanting to purchase a laminator for quite some time. Working in the school setting there are so many projects that can be made better by laminating. The most annoying thing is getting all of your materials together, going down to the workroom, and then finding the large laminator either broken or out of paper!!!! Agh! . This is why I was sooooo excited to learn that I had been chosen to receive not only 1 free Scotch Thermal laminator pack for me, but also one for a co-worker!!! How awesome was that! I must say this laminator is the most convenient thing ever! I just turn it on, get all my supplies ready, then get to work. It is so easy to use the Scotch laminating pouches. If you are thinking about buying a laminator.... GET THIS PRODUCT!!! Thank you Scotch for making my life so much easier!

Huge time saver!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a classroom teacher, every minutes counts. This is going to save me tons of time. All I have to do is plug it in and wait for it it warm up. It's ready to go before I even finished correcting a stack of papers Once it's ready you just slide your project into the special sleeves and instert into the machine. The machine spits it back out all shiny and protected. There are two settings for different thickness of paper. I love the quality of lamination. Projects can be written on with whiteboard marker and earased over and over again.

Worked Great, Then Gave Up!

Used this product for several weeks with no issues, then all of a sudden it started jamming up, ruining pages, and emitting a strong burning smell. Release lever does nothing to remove pages and it's nearly impossible to take apart. We loved it at first, but now are regretting our purchase.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Used to be great, now not heating up!

I bought this laminator about 6 months ago and it worked great! I loved it and used it for TONS of stuff as I am a teacher. I plugged it in tonight for the first time in about 2 months and the lights come on, but it will not heat. I've had it plugged in and turned on for 45 minutes and there is no heat at all. I run the pouch through and it doesn't laminate it at all. Disappointing for sure.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this laminator a while ago and didn't get to use it. I opened it and noticed that the "ready" button never turns green. It warms forever, so I started using it anyway. I used it yesterday for approx 15 sheets of lamination. Today, I went to set it up and the sheet feeder area won't stay up. I turn it over and the latches have been melted off and do not hold the feed guide/area up. now I have a pointless machine which can not be used.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
