Quit working after 2 uses.

The first 2 times I used my laminator it worked okay! It would only work for about 15 minutes or for 2 or 3 sheets and then it would stop feeding. What I was able to get laminated was wonderful done but it was very frustrating to deal with. After 2 uses it quit working all together as it does not heat up at all anymore. Very disappointed!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easily Broken

I bought this product less than a year ago for my classroom, it worked great at first and warmed up quickly, however, when I went to turn it on today it would not work. I was recommended this product by another teacher and was very excited to have this as a classroom staple, but there is not much I can do with a broken laminator.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Scotch Laminator

I recently received this as a gift and was so excited! I had great results to start out with but now all of the things I laminate are coming out slightly wavy. I have tried heavier printer paper and that hasn't helped. Cardstock goes through perfectly, but regular paper has trouble. Are the laminating pouches supposed to be a certain thickness? What is the cause of this problem?

Terrible product!

I purchased this about 6 months ago and just took it out of the box last week. We used it twice to laminate 4 different things and it doesn't work anymore! What a total waste of money! Too bad it doesn't last any longer than that for what I paid for it! I am really disgusted!!

I bought 2 of these. One for home and one for work. Used one of them a few times and used the other once. Neither will even turn on now. Terribly disappointed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is great for small jobs like wall decorations, although your major wide jobs it just crumbles up in the machine. I would recommend this product to elementary school teachers only.

Gets the job done!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hmmm, where do I begin. I really like how compact this laminator is. I can store it on a shelf and it is out of the way when not in use, and when I need it it has a convenient handle to grab on to and is very light weight to carry around. It laminates very well and I was happy with the end results. No bubbles.
During setup- I carefully read the directions and proceeded to set up the machine. I plugged it in, pressed the on button and waited. It took a little over 6 minutes to heat up. As it was heating it did give off a slight lingering chemical smell. I assume this will dissipate over time. I, also, had a hard time pulling the tray up and outward. (I had to resort to watching a you tube video to make sure I was doing it correctly.). Then I needed to feed the laminating sheet through. The input tray quides did not extend fully and one side kept falling out. I had to play with it a little. It's not perfect, but it gets the job done. The tray is a little hard to put back into a storage position and it doesn't stay closed.
Aside from the set up, once the machine gets going it does a decent job. I do wish that it came with more than 2 laminating sheets, though. They tend to get expensive.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I read the instructions and started the laminator, it didn't work the first time around, I was the dummy that didn't pay attention to the "will be ready when the blue light is on" ha! Once that baby came on, it worked like a charm! Fast and efficient! I'm so glad that I have the chance to try out the Scotch Thermal Laminator for free compliments of House Party! Thank you! We have a lot of Laminating to do
