Best Laminator!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my Scotch Laminator! It is great for school charts, chore charts and flashcards and everything else you can laminate. The thing with Scotch laminating sheets and why I will never use generics is because they are crystal clear. I pay good money for my school charts so I want to see them clearly and have them hold up for years. Just make sure you insert sealed side first for best results and to maintain a working laminator. Perfect for teachers

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a speech language pathologist working in a school, and I need a way to protect documents, flash cards, and activities that I make and use with my students. This laminator is the perfect fit for my needs. It heats up in less than one minute and sends a document through in about 45 seconds. The result is a well protected item! The laminating sheets that came with this laminator were heavy and did not bend easily. I did receive this laminator for free, but the opinions are my own.

I accidentally tossed the instructions before I used it the first time and had troubles figuring out how to feed in the paper to laminate it. After looking at a youtube video I figured out to pull up the back tray and we were working. I love this!!! It works so well. It seals so well. I used it for a school project for my daughter, she had to laminate a few different items and cut them apart. The separate pieces kept their seal. I teach cooking class for kids, first thing I did was laminate my recipes we use in class, they are so easy to wipe off now. I'm so excited to laminate everything in site!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really excited to get into the Scotch Thermal Laminator Chatterbox because at my school where I teach, it takes a really long time to have things laminated. With it being the start of the year I anxiously awaited the arrival of my free Laminator so I could get busy on all my projects I had in mind.
The first project I tackled with the Scotch laminator was 6 sets of laboratory role badges. I did a little bit of research online as to whether or not I needed to pre cut out the cards before laminating. What I found was in order for the laminating pages to stick they had to form a seal around the edge of each card which would require me to cut them out before laminating and them again after, as opposed to laminating them as a whole page then cutting out the cards once. This is the only down side to the laminator as opposed to the big professional grade lamination which fuses directly to the paper without needing a seal around the edge. I did accidently cut too close to one on my badges and realized that without the sealed edge, the lamination would peel off the paper. So be careful to keep a sealed edge around what you are cutting.
The project turned out really well and I was impressed with how easy the machine was to operate. I basically took it out of the box, plugged it in, looked over the easy to understand directions while the machine warmed up, and then started my projects! The lamination pockets went through with no trouble at all and glided out the other side quickly and easily.
I"m looking forward to hearing from the 1st grade teacher at my son's school about her experience with the laminator I gifted to her through chatterbox.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I laminated a theme poster for our homeschool classroom and it came out great! I was impressed by the sturdiness of the laminated product. I look forward to laminating several more education items for my kids to use for school. I also like how the laminator is light weight and doesn't take up much space. It's a great addition to our homeschooling this year!
