Scotch Thermal Laminator

So far I have used it for work and school projects with no problems. it has been a great product to use at first I was skeptical but turns out this thing is awesome and works rather well. I also received this free as a chat pack from chatterbox which was totally awesome.

Scotch Laminator is what you expect

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] From a long standing brand like Scotch you expect quality, and that is exactly what you get with the TL902 Thermal Laminator. I received my from a free Party Pack with House Party. I have been using it every day since I received it. I am a teacher with special needs students, so laminting work sheets is a must. I get a good result from use, with out the need to run it several times.

Sleek unit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very excited to receive this product as part of a Chatterbox sponsored giveaway. These are my honest opinions when comparing the Scotch TL902 versus the TL901 which I've owned for several years.
Out of the box, the new TL901 is more attractive than its predecessor. It's something that would look nice sitting on an office counter. And the carrying handle and cord storage are HUGE improvements! It's a very sleek design, and would be easier for the kids to use.
However, it also feels less sturdy. It's lighter, and honestly I'm not a fan of the new fold-out guide tray. It was difficult to figure out, and feels flimsy. I'm thinking it will break long before the rest of the laminator does. Actually, I believe the older unit originally came with a fold out tray also, which has long been lost. But the older unit has a small "ledge" built-in that will feed a sheet without the tray. There is no such ledge on the new unit - so once the tray breaks, it will be difficult to use the machine. On the flip side, maybe since the tray folds so nicely away, it will last longer. Only time will tell.
I also prefer the older "rocker switch" style rather than the new push buttons. Though the buttons look nicer, they again don't feel as sturdy to me.
The new unit is more quiet than my previous unit. This could be because my previous one has been through the ringer. However, the new unit has a nice soft hum compared to the more buzzy sound of the older unit. I plugged them both in and turned them on at the same time. The older unit beat the new one to "ready" by about one minute. They both fed the plastic through at the same rate, and did a perfect job laminating.
In conclusion, the easy storage and portability of the TL902 is awesome, and it would probably seem plenty sturdy enough to me if it weren't sitting right next to the TL901. Functionally, it looks like the TL902 is pretty much the same as the TL901. I can say from experience that there are a million reasons to own a laminator, and this machine is a rockstar that will last for years. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend purchasing the TL902.

What a Great Machine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This laminator is perfect for my classroom. Very compact and small for easy storage. Very quick and easy to use! Only thing I to be very careful when loading the paper into the laminator if you put multiple small items in a sheet. Sometimes they can move down or cover each other if you don't pay attention. Other than that, this machine is the perfect addition for any project you want to last forever.

The laminator is great, works perfectly, and is very easy to use.It is a perfect addition to our homeschool supplies. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a laminator for there home, or office!
