Smooth operator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As soon as the Scotch laminator Chat Pack arrived I couldn't wait to bust it open and put it to work. Right off the bat I loved the handle and the spot to wrap the cord up when not in use so it takes up as little space as possible. I let it heat up for about 5min and ran through my first project. The paper tray with the adjustable size tabs is a thoughtful design that not all laminators out there have, and it really helped the pouch travel through the machine with ease. I didn't have to adjust it or anything and it came out the other side to perfection! I love it so much and look forward to using it for my kids charts at home and my weekly class I teach that has handouts. I highly recommend Scotch Thermal Laminator!!! The easy pouches are, well...easy! I was looking to buy one initially when I found out I could get a Chat Pack Scotch Thermal Laminator for free through House Party, Chatterbox. My lucky day because I am thoughouly impressed with this product and will get a ton of use out of it.

Easy to use!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We homeschool, so having a laminator around has made life soooooo much easier for me! Honestly, it has made homeschooling more fun as well! We have created bingo sheets, playdoh mats & laminated worksheets so the kids can use dry erase markers with them! Using dry erase markers is so much more fun than a boring pencil. I also love that it's not wasteful! Instead of throwing away sheet after sheet we can simple reuse it! So awesome! I'm not sure how any teacher can survive without one of these! I've already gone through all my laminated sheets provided and then some!
I even made up a Parody song - All my teacher friends, all my teacher friends... if you like it put a laminate on it. (Instead of put a ring on it).

Won't Heat Up

I bought this laminator about 6 months ago for help with my job. At first, it worked great. I recommended to everyone I know in the same field. Recently, it has stopped working. I have had it plugged in for the past half hour or more waiting for it to heat up and it has not. I ran a sheet through the machine to test it and it came out the same temperature. I am thoroughly disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very Economical

Being a teacher, you need so many things and equipment that really takes up a lot of space. This is very compact, simple to use and takes little storage space. The best part is it's easy to travel with and take anywhere. I have my stack of laminating ready to go, just in time for the long weekend!

I am a teacher so I had a ton of things to get ready for the beginning of the year, and the machine worked so well. I am so excited to continue to use this throughout the year to keep all of my activities for school safe from tearing. This is a great product, and I truly recommend it!

I'm using this in school to laminate teacher of the week door badges and it's so much easier (and eco-friendly) than heating up the big machine! My kids at home can't wait to laminate their little projects, too!

Works great until the tray breaks. I was being very careful with it because I've had several coworkers break theirs, but low and behold it still broke. Now everything slides around and gets jammed or messed up. Cheap quality on the feed tray manufacturing for sure.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
