I love my Opal Ice Maker, nicknamed Opal. Opal works great and looks great. Ice tastes great and the ice is clear. One thing I'm not overly loving is that it needs cleaned once a week and it does take a while. Cleaning is super easy, just tedious. Overall though, I would definitely recommend!

I had purchased an opal when they first came out by 1 build for the office. It got a lot of use! Now that GE has purchased the opal, it is even better.

Simple to use and elegant design. Easy to clean and refill water. A little noisier than I had hoped but can easily become white background noise and worth a little noise for having nugget ice any time I want. Way to go GE! I’ve only had it for a few days so far but am so glad I spent the extra money to get the smaller ice that my family loves. Now I won’t have to hear the obnoxious grinding of ice from the refrigerator anymore.
