Leaks, ice melts.

Awful ice maker for the price paid. Ice machine leaks consistently when actively making ice (water all over my floor) and ice in the morning is nearly melted when I go fill my cup. Wouldn’t recommend this product to anyone.

Hello, and thanks for sharing this. Having your ice maker leak can be quite frustrating and we're sorry you're having this issue. The water you're seeing may be from condensation and it normally forms on the bottom surface of the ice bin. This water will sometimes collect and drip down the lower front surfaces of the ice maker as well. The included drip tray can be installed in front of the Opal to collect this water. If you don't believe this is condensation, we suggest visiting myopalservice.com, or contacting 1-866-907-6718, M-F 8-8 EST.

Sooo noisy!!! Like this is not supposed to be!!!

We had to return this ice maker after 2 weeks! I understand that an ice machine makes noise. But the sounds coming out of this machine were so loud it would wake the entire house up at night. I tried cleaning, using filtered water, distilled water nothing helped. It’s such a shame because when it works it’s amazing! And i love that it has the side tank so you’re not refilling. I want to try getting another one but I’m not sure it’s worth the hassle.

not worth the money

starts out as amazing then little by little no matter how much you clean it and take care of it, it will start to break down right after the warranty is up. I loved this ice machine and for the price I wish it didnt die so soon.

Good ice, very intrusive app

Ice is good. The app is pityful requiring you to give up all kinds of personal information just to set a schedule. Why in the world does GE need to know my location? Oh yeah, marketing.... Wouldn't recommend just for this.

SQUEALS when making ice. Tech support non existan

GE pushed us to opal tech support who took down our issue and then won't respond. 6 months old and intermittently makes a very loud squealing when making ice.

The ice maker is sleek looking and quiet compared to the other one I had. Love the reserve tank. Downfall is that the cubes are small and melt fast.
