Worked great for first 3 weeks

Bought this for my wife for Christmas. Installed it dec28th, 2020.
Fast forward 3 weeks and now everyday it has a horrid loud whining/squeaky sound that last for 15-30 minutes. Quits for a couple of hours then starts back at it again. I have tried to call the numbers given for tech support and had to wait on forever hold twice. Then the last time I called I got hung up on.
Hopefully someone reads this and actually pays attention. I will be calling until I get this product fixed/returned or replaced.

Perfect size ice cubes

This is a awesome product. I love crushed ice and most of the ice machine I looked at had large cubes. These are like SONIC ice. The only fall back is it is not a freezer. You must take it out when it is done and put it in your freezer But I love ❤️ this product.

Opal ice broke within 30 days

Luckily my opal ice maker broke within the return period. It was making a horrible grinding noise and did not make ice. When it worked it leaked twice all over my wood floors. I thought paying extra would be insuring I would have a product that lasts. Nope.

Great machine - don’t need to look further

The Opal Nugget 2 ice maker with side tank is wonderful. It was easy to setup. Works quietly and quickly. We’re extremely happy with it. The only opportunity I would offer is that it’s impossible to find the optional water filter for it.

Most Amazing Ice Ever!

This product is very easy to clean and set up, and it started making ice within 10 minutes. We lo e nugget ice, and this product was a welcomed addition to our kitchen appliances.

Excellent machine!

We experienced difficulties with two competitor machines, (smaller in size.) We discovered this item from GE and appreciated the additional year of service at no added charge. We had to step up to make the purchase, but once it arrived and got going; we’ve never looked back. It works very well, produces good ice, and we’ve had no issues whatsoever. Visitors seem to enjoy its presence and ultimately find their own excuse to use it themselves. No regrets and glad we decided to spend the extra money to avoid the bi-annual replacement of less expensive competitor products that hardly process 1/4 of the ice this machine does…
I would recommend this to a friend!
