Over all a Good Choice.

This version is good. I hate the squealing noise it makes at times. I had the version prior and it sucked. started having problems right away and now it is garbage. I don't have time to call the company and get this fixed. I believe they should work as describe. It is still a bit big to fit under my counter, which is frustrating a bit. Installation was easy and has a good capacity for one to two people.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Ice, Noise & Cleaning are a Factor

Love the ice it makes however, the amount of consistent taking apart, cleaning for almost 2 days & the noise it makes, it’s a question on whether I’d pay this much again. The capacity is good, the installation is medium in effort & the size is about right for what it’s production of ice.

Best crunchy ice ever!

I love my GE opal icemaker. We have two homes and I have one at each of the houses (because they’re in different cities and it’s a long way to travel to get fresh ice each day 🤣). All of our friends and family love it as well. I have shared the link for it with several people. I’ve also purchased it and gifted it to two family members who were really covering mine. I have had the one at my summer home for five years and I’ve had no problems with it. The one at my Winter home I’ve had for maybe a year. No problems with it thus far either. Although, I’m not very techy, and so I have my assistant set it up and program it for me. Love, love, love it!

Poor quality to maintain

Do not invest your money in this unit. Mine stopped working only a couple months after having it they sent out a replacement and still here where the unit stopped working less than a year after that.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I used it for 3 months and it stopped working

I like the machine used it for 3 months and the thing stopped working. Stopped making ice and start to make noise. I need to figure out how to get a new one my wife loved it. It's her favorite ice.

We recommend trying out a full electronic reset combined with a full cleaning of the unit. The reset can be done by unplugging the power cord for 2-3 minutes, then plugging it back in.

We'd like to help out with the water not flowing from the side tank.
We recommend checking to see if a potential air bubble is trapped within the line. This can be remedied by lifting up the icemaker 4-5 inches. Also make sure that the hoses are flat.

Amazing Product!

I love this product. It fits so much ice in it and it was super easy to install. It is a little loud when making the ice, but it’s not bad enough to disturb anyone. It’s pretty big, and a little bit heavy, but it’s definitely manageable. It’s super easy to use since it connects to my phone, and it’s been a fantastic addition to my college apartment.
