Easy to set up. Now that I am addicted to nugget ice, going back to regular ice was a less-than-satisfying experience.

This icemaker has been an absolute dream! The ice production is rapid and it is soooo easy to operate and care for. We are very happy that we made the choice to invest in this product. Plus the ice is always ready and tastes wonderful.

We have had several Ice Machines and this machine is very easy to use and operate.
Its amazing how much Ice we use. I dont run our city water thru the machine to much hard minerals.
We go thru a 5 gallon filter water jug in about two week. Lots of ice.

Continuous grinding sounds are not considered normal during operation, when this happens, we recommend contacting our Opal support team by calling 866-907-6718 (Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, EST).

Fantastic features and great for family!

Love the dimensions, it fits under my shelves on the countertop and is still pretty slender. I’m within 24 hrs of use and it doesn’t seem noisy to me. The capacity and production is perfect as our household goes through lots of ice. I was used to the simple bullet ice maker so this was a bit more with installation but definitely worth it! I love the machine.

Great, but has a couple of knocks on it

My wife really wanted one of these because she drinks a lot of water and LOVES the ice from Son1c. We got this and there is both good and bad. Bad first - it seems that it shouldn't be this expensive. Second - Ours started making a screeching noise randomly in the very first week. This is actually a known problem so I'm not sure why it is still happening. On the plus side, it really does make great ice and it is cleaver how it reuses ice melt to keep the bin full and reduce refills. In the end, we are exchanging our first unit for a new one, but for sure keeping, and loving it.
