With cleaning research good unit.

This unit was quite in operation, works as promised, the manual needs updating to explain how to clean interior storage tank that feeds water into freezing auger. I have run this unit for 2 years constantly. You tube cleaning videos were very helpful.

It’s loud! It’s heavy, and it’s huge! I’m not happy with the purchase and wish I would have returned it before it was too late.

We'd like to assist you with your Opal. This unit is a complex device that combines electrical and mechanical components such as a compressor, pump, motors, and fans to deliver perfect nugget ice. These components power on at different times during the ice making cycle and also explains the weight of 38 - 44 lbs (depending on model).

Great ice maker!

Great ice maker for my office. It makes soft ice, which is what I like in my iced tea! Very easy to set up and clean. It is able to connect to your WIFI, so you can monitor it remotely if need be, if you are out of the office for the weekend.

Who doesn’t love nugget ice? We keep purified water in the machine and I hardly have to clean it. It fits on my counter top nicely and easily accessible. Installation was a breeze. It can be a little noisy when making ice, so I let it fill up the bin with ice and turn the machine off. I wish there was a function to keep the refrigerator part on and cold, but the ice stays cold for most of the day. I love the Crunchy sonic-type ice!
