We have had two machines in two years. They break down. Totally unreliable.

We definitely know the importance of an appliance lasting for a long period of time. However, it is not possible to determine the product failure rate, as there are multiple variables involved such as frequency of use, type of use, location of appliance, care, and maintenance.

I was wary to purchase this machine because of the maintenance needed and how prone they were to breaking. I've only had it for a couple of weeks but it works perfectly. I use distilled water and plan to clean it out monthly. The schedule its on to make ice is easy and I like that it melts and reuses the water if I don't use the ice.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I love the ice-maker. It is easy to install, easy to clean, it isn’t noisy and I love the little ice pellets. I’ve had other ice-makers and this is by far the best.

We want to offer assistance towards your Opal not producing any ice. First, we suggest checking to make sure that the ice bin is pushed all the way in, as it won't produce ice if it's not. Secondly, we recommend trying a reset of the unit. This can be done by removing the power cord for 2-4 hours, then plugging it back in.

So far it is working great. The quick start up was a little confusing. It came with a filter but it doesn't mention anywhere about installing a filter. When I use the machine the white filter light is flashing but I don't exactly know what it means
