Wonderful, reliable addition to our kitchen. We had the First Build Opal for years and progressed to the GE Opal Profile with a side tank.

Does not last very long before breaking down!

This is my third opal machine. I was given a replacement of my second machine and not even 10 months later it is already making the same loud obnoxious noise as the first machine. The ice is good when it’s actually working, but the noise is beyond obnoxious and loud, and I’ve had to just shut it off and not use it. I was told there is no repair for this which is very unfortunate considering how much I have paid for these machines. I was also told there is no warranty on the last one they sent me even though it hasn’t even even been a year, because I originally purchased my first one two years ago. This makes no sense considering we’re talking about a completely different newer ice machine!! No protection for the buyer
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
