My ice machine stopped working after a year and as much as I paid , I would’ve thought it lasted longer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not worth the money

Do not buy…this lasted a little over a year. Great while it worked but with this price tag so not worth it for a year. It also gets hot have to keep a small fan plugged in to keep it from getting hot and now completely stopped making ice. Also pain to clean and still didn’t help motor sounds shot and making noise. Thank goodness I bought extended warranty!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It's just not working right

I am not happy at all with the ice machine. Every time it starts to make ice water runs into the ice bin. My friend has the exact same ice maker and it makes the soft ice not nuggets, and now it has stopped making ice at all. It cost way too much to not work right.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best Ice For Home Use

Excellent ice maker. You will need to descale the unit as required for smooth operation. Yes pricey for sure but all worth the money in the long run if you maintain this per the manufacture. Our Opal Profile original last about 4 years.

Awesome, when working

When it worked it produced awesome ice, but that only lasted a few weeks. Now it just says "Add Water" even though the water bin is full. Hoping GE will stand behind their product when I get with their warranty dept.
