We'd like to assist you with your opal leaking. During normal operation, condensation forms on the bottom surface of the ice bin. This water will sometimes collect and drip down the lower front surfaces of the ice maker. The included drip tray can be installed in front of the Opal to collect this water.

Having crunchy bite sized ice at the ready is great; However, I have to use filtered-distilled water to avoid mineral build-up. Mineral build-up so heavy it cost a replacement Opal!
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is an amazing ice maker. Definitely worth every penny, I can’t believe I lasted this long without one. No more runs to Chick-fil-A or Sonic for a bag of ice.

Fortunately for me this appliance is not an everyday use device, so I'm banking or not having a lot of the issues that seem so prevalent with the consumers that use it 24/7. The sanitize and descaling instructions are very clear, nice touch with the ultraviolet light to keep the bacteria out. Love the side tank, is to the point where you just about can let the machine run and I find that with the reserve tank completely filled it will go about 8 hours without needing to refill it. We go through so much ice in my family so I actually store it in 2 gallon bags and multiple freezers for use when needed. I find it quiet and although I've only had it a month it's met all of my expectations!

Excellent product. Alot quieter than the original ice machine. Love the black stainless matches my other appliances. Only wish it came with 1gal side tank

Hard to Clean; Difficult to Register

I have not owned product long enough to determine quality of product; HOWEVER, if the difficulty in registering the product and the amount of cleaning needed for coming new out of the box are any indication. The product will NOT be worthy of even one star.

Stopped working

We just bought it a couple weeks ago. It stopped working. Keep saying add more water although the water dispenser is full. We restarted it, updated it, drained it...nothing works.
So dissapointed.

I was so excited to get our new opal ice machine, right before the holidays. Well, it was great for one day. The second day it started screeching so had to be returned.
