I love the ice, just wish I could love the machine

We had this since July and have had nothing but problems. We only used distilled water. Cleaned/descaled monthly.Reached out to support and we have followed their suggestions several times. It works for a couple of weeks and then it stops working. I wanted to love this ice maker. I love the ice it makes. I have bought three for family members. Their reviews vary.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great for about 14 Months

Got about 14 months worth of good use out of it. Of course, that is 2 months after warranty goes out. Was great up until then. Made a very loud screeching and grinding sound one night that woke us up in middle of night. Now it just wants to keep going into DEFROST mode after it's on about 30 minutes. Going to try a different brand this time, so that I am not wasting the extra money on this brand that didn't last a little over a year.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So far so good

I set it up about an hour ago and so far, it's been running smoothly. I can't speak to its longevity just yet, but the quality is very good. The setup process was also quite easy.
