App doesn’t work

Tried numerous times to connect to the app with no success. One of the reasons I purchased this appliance so I could control on my phone. Very disappointing

Decent good ice maker

Overall the ice maker is good and does the job it was designed for but from initial installation I notice, what i think is, a flaw. When the machine starts to make Ice, it spill water out at first few seconds that went into ice bin. If there was some kind of "mesh" just before the spill over for the ice it would allow the water to fall back into the reservoir and not into the bin with the ice. I also think that the ice bin is a little small. 3 lbs? Maybe the 5 to 10 lbs range would be better.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I wanted this product to work

It lasted 1 month and then it defaults to the defrost stage. It’s stuck there. I am no longer within my return window at Crate and Barrel so I just started the exchange process through GE. What a disappointment.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

DO NOT BUY AN OPAL ICE MACHINE- GONE THROUGH 2 AND THEY DO NOT WORK FOR VERY LONG. It would be an awesome unit if it worked and didn't have to clean it more than once a month and when you use descaling the machine should work, no it doesn't .

Over exceeded all expectations

I purchased the Opal 2 w/ side tank in Oct ‘21 for my house-warming party at my new Penthouse. Surprisingly, it was the hit of the party; none of my guests had ever seen one that makes the “nuggets”before. I’m approaching 3 full years since my purchase… it has been making ice “everyday” without any issues! I’ve strongly recommended this product to my family and friends… six of them have purchased their own. Lastly, this product is Golden-Retriever “Approved”… my Goldens love the nuggets!
