I really like it, only thing I don’t is that you cannot use the white filter in them as then it doesn’t work. So cleaning it all the time is a pain

If you buy this, DEFINITELY a get the extended 4 year warranty. Mine died after 3+ years, but exchange for a replacement unit was easy. I LOVE IT !!!!! BEST crushed ice machine…just not made to last!

Leaks!!!

Leaks water when you open door to get ice out. Have called several times on this and no one will do anything about it. It is still under warranty and nothing will be done.

We definitely want to help go over this with you. During normal operation, condensation forms on the bottom surface of the ice bin. This water will sometimes collect and drip down the lower front surfaces of the ice maker. The included drip tray can be installed in front of the Opal to collect this water. If you are noticing an increased amount of water, then we suggest contacting our support team at 1-866-907-6718.

Great when it works.

Love the ice maker when it works. I received my first ice maker as a gift December of 2022. About a month after using it, it decided to stop working. They replaced it with a new one, but took over a month to get it. Has been working great for this past year until recently it decided to stop making ice. I have cleaned it following the recommendations in the manual. It still does not make ice. For the price paid I was hoping it would last longer than one year. Not sure if I would recommend.

Worst ice machine

This was great for the first few weeks. It does not work over 75 degrees inside. It doesn't keep up. Tried to warranty it out but was denied. We've had it for less than 2 years and spent so much money its terrible. It's now making a terrible gear grinding noise and cleaning it every over week with bleach and every other week with vinegar. I will never buy a GE product again.
