Doesn't Work, No Support

Product makes a loud grinding noise whenever it tries to make ice. When you try and contact support, you sit on hold for hours with no response. I am sure mine is just a bad unit, and my review would be much higher if the support of their appliances was existant.

I finally bought one

I’ve been eyeing the opal machines for a couple years, wanting to buy one but not wanting to pay the premium. Recently, refrigerator’s ice maker quit working. I tried to fix it, replacing the intake valve and filter, but was unsuccessful so I thought it would be great to have some of that chic-fil-a ice and bought the opal 2. So far, it’s been great. I set a schedule for it to turn on a couple hours before I wake up and an hour before I get home from work. I stock pile the leftovers in my broken ice maker’s bin and I always have ice. It was easy to set up, starts making ice in about 30 min and is full after about 2-1/2 hrs. It’s great for cocktails tea or sodas. I take a yeti cup full of it to work with me and have a few drinks worth of ice for the day. I’m really enjoying the machine. It was a little surprising how large it was, but I’m not sure really what I expected. I’m hopeful that it will last for years to come.
