Wonderful soft and chewable small nugget ice

This ice machine produces small soft ice nuggets that are great for making snow cones, cooling drinks and hot liquids, and for just chewing. Hooked to wi-fi , one can see what the machine is doing at that moment or you can run diagnostics if needed. This machine makes virtually no noise while on and producing ice. It is an attractive appliance on my kitchen counter.

I purchase this to replace another brand. This is sleek in appearance, quiet to operate and was easy to set up. I had a full ice container within two hours. I absolutely love this product.

Love this ice maker, it was very easy to set up. It tells you when you should clean it. Has an extra water supply on the side so you are not always adding water. Makes Ice fairly quickly and does not melt as fast either. Also has a WIFI connection and app so you can check it and it tells you if it needs descaling etc.

Great ice

We love our Opal except for 2 things. The fan in the back is noisier than the first Opal we had. The reservoir will NOT hold a gallon of water like the last one. I like the handle on the drawer for easier opening.

Makes the “Good Ice”!

I love this ice maker. It keeps us in ice constantly. It is easy to refill with water when needed, and easy to empty the ice out. It is pretty quiet and it has a solid feel to it. The plastic water container and the ice container are made out of sturdy material.

broken out of the box - my second bad experience

This is my 2nd Opal 2 ice maker. The first one went toes up after 2 years. Shipped back to GE and was determined "unrepairable" Lived without ice maker for past few months and really missed it. I like the ice. Bought another one today and it has a bad pump. Will not pull water from tank. Does not create suction due to bad pump. Shame, because when it works I like the product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
