I love the texture and hardness of the ice! I love everything about it except cleaning it every other day! After 2 days it will start making a screaming noise that will only stop if you unplug it.

Love the ice

I love the ice but the maker requires a lot of work. You have to descale and clean out the lines at least 2 times a month. If not it will make the most awful sounds, it will leak. Thankfully, we have learned how to take it apart to do a deep clean after a year and I have to say it was needed. The lines were disgusting even with us cleaning it once a month. Now we have learned it needs to be cleaned more frequently. Other than that it makes the best ice and it's connected to my phone so I can do diagnostics and even set schedules.

Great crunchy ice nuggets

The GE Profile is great for the small footprint and the wonderful ice nuggets it makes. I use strictly distilled water in mine and love the clarity and taste of the resulting ice. The side tank gives you extra capacity but is difficult to refill unless you have a sink nearby to drain the base receptacle into before inserting the tank otherwise you are going to have a spill.

A wonderful product with WI-FI. Awesome

A great addition to to our home and kitchen. Every time we entertain we get the request for “the good ice” so simple to use and is not that difficult to clean. The WI-FI feature is great, you can program it to start making ice when you want or turn it on while you’re on your way home. It also lets you know when it needs cleaning. We did not get the auxiliary water tank, but our friends got one after seeing ours with the tank and they love it. I don’t think you will be disappointed in this purchase. We haven’t used our other ice machine since we got this one.
