I love the machine, however I wished it could actually keep the ice cold rather than melting when is done.

Opal ice is the best! (The machine works well too)

We love our new GE Profile 2 Opal Ice Maker. It makes ice super fast and the ice is great in drinks. I highly recommend using reverse osmosis (RO) or distilled water in the machine to reduce maintenance (which it requires a lot of), and scale build-up.
The only real issue I have with the machine is it sometimes gets stuck saying it is out of water, even when the tank is full. I suspect it had some gunk in the inner workings even from the factory. But after finding some tips on this online and also blowing hard on the tube from the side tank, it seems to be fine.
Other than that, the machine makes more noise than I would like. Not too bad though.

I'd give it 5 stars but it is a little noisy and it can sometimes be a bit vague and seem like it's not operating then just kicks back into gear and is fine. Generally very nice.

I've really enjoyed the Opal over the last few months. I've essentially had zero issues with the product, it's been making great ice and makes the ice pretty quick, and overall would recommend it to anyone looking for a pebble ice maker.

Great nugget ice maker. Much higher quality than the cheaper machines that are so popular now. Love the ice nuggets versus cubes. The only downside is the drips from the bottom of the drawer when getting ice out of the bucket. The drip tray is helpful but wish a drip tray wasn't needed.
