Loved it but…..

We bought the one with the side tank. The ice maker was working well until a c oh pie of days after we purchased it, it started making a squeaking sound. We took it back and exchange it for the one without the side tank and we haven’t had any issues so far. We love it!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Makes ice quickly

The Opal ice maker performs well but the ice is soft and therefore melts quickly. I rate it as average.

While we’re glad the unit is performing well and you appreciate its rapid production, we regret any inconvenience the ice melting may have caused. As the ice is designed to be softer and chewable, it may melt faster in your drink than other types of ice. Also, as the Opal itself isn’t refrigerated, we do expect some of the ice may melt before you use it; the unit is designed to reuse any meltwater to make more ice. Your concern over the ice melting will certainly be sent to our team for review; your feedback is appreciated, as we always want to know what our consumers think of our models.

The best pebble ice

Stopped working within one week

I received my opal2.0 and set up per the instructions. The ice maker worked decently for about 5 days and then would stop because the add water light would come on even though the side tank was full. I completed the recommended troubleshooting for that issue with no success. Continuing to add water after a cycle. The machine began to squeal louder and louder when making ice after the 5th day is use. I really wished this worked better because I liked the look and ice. Not worth the price in my opinion. Also shipped and came dented.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the Ice

Great little ice maker. Doesn’t take much counter space and doesn’t require water hook up. Easy to add water. A little pricey. WiFi control allows smart scheduling so ice is available when you need it. Requires frequent cleaning, but this is a small price to pay for high quality ice. I did purchase 5yr warranty when I bought the machine. I am pleased with purchase.

Soft Ice for ice chewers.

The products looks and is well designed. If you chew ice, this ice will help protect your teeth or dental work from breaking. I would recommend only using filtered water or Reverse osmosis treated water.

I cannot live a day without this nugget I’ve maker

This is my third ice maker. It is one of the best items i have ever bought. I love eating this crunchy ice. During meals. After meals. While I am at the gym working out. It cools me down. It in a way satisfies my urge to eat chew something. I feel that the crunchy ice acts as a dog biscuit to removing stuck food. It is not a replacement for a toothbrush but helps otherwise.
