Great Machine

I love the GE Profile Opal Ice machine so far, we are using it in an office and it has produced plenty of ice for our needs. I will say that it is very important to use filtered water. The first few days I used non-filtered and you could see a difference and the machine was louder and did not run as efficiently.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Existing Ice maker could not keep up with Daily use.
Bin was alway empty
Now the refrigerator Ice Makers bin is always full.
+ this is better Ice for drinks.Water Cups, Sodas.

Awesome machine

The machine itself works great and makes ice quickly. It is noisy during the ice making cycle and the defrosting cycle but it's not too terribly bothersome. While I have loved the machine the customer support/service has left us with much to be desired. We purchased the ice maker with the side tank. Within a week of purchase the tank separates after it has been filled with water while placing the tank on the base - water goes everywhere. After many difficult phone calls and emails with descriptions of the problem I still don't have a side tank. The service department would like me to purchase a new one! The tank was 10 days old when the problem started. So, as long as the machine continues to work it's great - just hope you don't have to deal with their service department as the are useless and worthless.

We really love this ice maker. It makes great ice, pretty quickly and in decent quantities. Much better than our fridge ice maker. The size fits nicely on our countertop.

I did have a problem using the side reservoir it would not work correctly, I removed the filter that I installed and it started working perfectly. It has been used 24/7 . I love it

We really love this ice maker! It makes the perfect size ice we want and is almost always full and ready to go! That being said, I keep getting messages that we need to add water even when the water tank is full. And sometimes it won't make the ice unless I power our down then on again. Is it defective? Hmmm not sure but for the price we paid, I'm definitely going to find out! Lol

This ice maker is the perfect solution for small get togethers and everyday use. We rarely need the "other" ice maker now. And the opal ice is perfect for keeping drinks cold.
