We love the product but I feel that the cleaning process is a little intense. I would be better if the reserve tank was clear to see if anything was built up. The cleaning button feature isn't that great. Make a machine that handles the abuse from hard water

We bought one just over 2 years ago… it lasted one year… he replaced it with a refurbished unit… that has been going out the last few weeks and is now barley making ice… for the price of these things I’d hope it would last much much longer… never again and I’d suggest you don’t get one

Noise maker

Noisy, obnoxious, high maintenance appliance. Maybe got one year of use when it finally blew up. Bad compressor or something. Our unit did not allow for waterl connection like fridge ice maker. If water was less than half full, the noises began but ultimately went full time disturbing.

Loved it at the beginning, lasted less than 2 years. I would have expected at least 5 years for the cost this unit. I followed all the instructions and recommended maintenance and only used distilled water. The machine still looked brand new and we probably would see 2-3 gallons of water a week making ice. It started to slow down and eventually ran hot and the water pump seemed to start working incrementally so the machine would only make about 2 cups of ice a day.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My husband and I love this ice maker ! Unfortunately ours started screaming and screeching I contacted support and they never got back to me.

Nice Nugget Ice - not a long life to the machine

It is great, when it works.
Machine is showing "Add Water" when there is water in the reservoir and side tank.
I have cleaned the machine regularly with warm vinegar as needed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Serious Quality Concerns.

Out of the box the machine is great. Looks good in the kitchen and makes amazing ice. Very easy to set up connect WiFi and program a schedule using the app.
Unfortunately, we are currently on our THIRD machine in about 5 years (we had the original opal initially and we were able to upgrade it under warranty from retailer when it died) and all have had the same issue. They get progressively noisier then suddenly start making horrible squealing sounds then eventually stop working.
Quality is a major issue.
Especially at this price point.
We only ever use RO water, it was descaled on a fairly regular and was put through a full cleaning at least 4 times since being purchased in June 2023.
Still - it started squealing and stopped making ice.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Awful product

This is an awful product. I’ve had it just over a month. It makes this horrible screeching noise and it stays in defrost mode. It makes very little batches of ice. I’ve tried to reset it by unplugging and leaving off for a while. It still does the same thing.
