GE Opal 2.0 Ice Maker

Set up was easy, started making ice in 15 minutes, quick response. This is the second Opal Ice Maker I buy and I am truly satisfied. We use lots of ice so having two (2) Ice Makers was the excellent choice for us.

We tried two other ice makers and were sorely disappointed. When we decided to invest a little more money into this model, our expectations were high, but also exceeded when it arrived and we had our first taste! I loved it so much that I purchased another one for a friend of mine who was overjoyed!

Very happy with machine great features keeps the ice nice and cold and always has a good supply available I'm so glad I invested in it it was worth the extra money hope that it maintains its working order and that the company support is good if I need them recommended very highly best ice maker on the market

I am so happy that I finally treated my family with this little gem!!! We all LOVE our new ice maker. It makes ice so FAST! We love the smalls pieces it makes. I’m so glad that I finally made this purchase after taking so long to decide. I wished I would have purchased sooner!

Too loud and squeals

It makes so much noise will making ice and it squeals during defrost at 2am.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Specifically, when the Opal is defrosting, it may start to squeak as ice starts to build up around the mechanisms. The defrost cycle is automatic and may take 10 to 45 minutes.
