GE Profile Series Nugget Ice Maker

The Nugget Ice last at lot longer in my drinks than the Bullet Ice from my previous Ice Maker. Does make Ice quickly. Has a removeable side tank for adding water. Side tank will hold 84 ounces of water. Does have Wi-Fi connection capability. Notifies when it needs cleaning. Claims to make 44 pounds of Ice in 24 hours. It may make that much but I have to stop making Ice because I don't have the capacity to hold 44 pounds of Ice. I can go for 3 to 4 days before making a new batch of Ice. It was more than I wanted to pay for the Ice Maker, but it is the best one I have purchased. I did purchase the extended warranty they offer. I do recommend purchasing this product.

often goes into defrost mode, only way to get out is to unplug..

The ice maker is exactly what we wanted to have "the good ice" at home everyday. Worth every penny and we are always getting compliments about it when we are having parties.

Loving my GE Opal Ice

I am giving four stars and not five just due to the length of time I've had the machine. So far no problems and we are loving it. Can't imagine getting without the side tank as we are going through this ice pretty quickly. I do wish you could fill the side tank without removing it every time.

Bought this for my wife’s birthday and it instantly became everyone’s favorite countertop appliance. We love that it hardly takes any time at all before “the good ice” is ready to be enjoyed! The only two downsides for me are that it’s a little bulky with the side reservoir attached and even with the side reservoir we’re still refilling it more often than we had hoped (about once every 2 days for 2 adults and 1 child). With that being said, the bulky size was somewhat expected and refilling it often only speaks to how much we love the great taste of this ice. I don’t think it’s necessarily a reflection of the capacity of the ice bin or the water reservoirs.
Overall, this is a perfect addition to our kitchen and we absolutely love it!

I like that this ice maker continues to make ice even as some of the ice may melt. And enjoy having the reservoir on the side of the machine helps to keep a supply of water ready to go.
