We purchased a new refrigerator a couple months ago. We love it, however, it couldn't keep up with the amount of ice that our family uses in the summer.
This machine is a beast. It makes the best ice and produces a ton. Love it!!

Best Ice Maker…EVER

This is the third icemaker I have purchased and it is by far, the best I have owned. I have owned two Newair ice makers and both died within 2 to 3 months. The GE opal 2.0 costs a little more but what features it offers is worth it. I love the appliance’s features such as the water reservoir LED lighting, Wi-Fi ability and function accent lighting…providing a little statement of premium presence. The best feature is the small soft crunch ice. A MUST have.

We absolutely love our GE Opal 2.0 counter top ice make!. Easy to set up and no-fuss operation. Makes great ice and replenishes the ice bucket very fast. I read a few reviews about it being loud and making noises, but we have not experienced those issues. If you love crunchy nugget-sized ice, then this is the ice maker for you. Makes filling small-mouth bottles a breeze. I haven't used our refrigerator ice maker since purchasing our GE Profile Opal 2.0 counter top ice maker. I also purchased the side tank and I am glad I did! This appliance may be priced a bit high, but it's a fantastic appliance.
