Loving the good ice

This is our second Opal - we initially had the model from first build. That one had a lot of issues, it was very loud, leaked out the front, and had a big issue with mineral deposits in the tubing which were difficult to clean out. The side tank made the leaking worse and we couldnt use it. This model seems to have fixed the leaking issue and is nicer looking. It’s still pretty loud, but not as loud as the old one. I recommend running the cleaning cycle quarterly to avoid the issue with mineral buildup. The ice cannot be beat - so satisfying for anyone who loves chewing on ice, and a lot more affordable than an under-counter ice maker (although price point is still a little high)

The ice machine is a little loud while making the ice and goes through water really fast. I fill our machine up with water at least once a day, besides that the machine produces ice pretty fast and recirculates the melted ice fast as well. The drawer for the ice tends to leak down the front of the machine when you pull it out, so we have to keep a cloth in the tray they provide for the machine.
Overall it is a good machine with a little upkeep.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We love this machine. We can’t get the water to pull from the side tank for some reason but other than that it’s amazing.
