This product was easy to install and initially clean and makes a bucket of ice in ~ 1 hour.

I have a family of 8. My refrigerator has a small ice maker in the door so I had to have more ice for my big family. This ice maker has never failed us yet. We never run out of ice.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the ice and love the wifi feature

We recently purchased the GE Opal 2.0 pebble ice machine. It does take up a bit of space on the counter, but it is worth it. We love the quality of the ice as well as the wifi feature (set up daily to run at 6am and go off at 9am, then again in the evenings). The only thing I don't like is the descaling process. Takes 18+ hours to clean the machine with vinegar and multiple steps.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love the pellet ice!

This is the second opal ice machine we’ve owned! Love it, but it did have a ding on the side that the water tank is on and the clip on the back that holds the drain tube has a leg broken off, so it only holds one of the tubes in place!

I really like the Opal 2.0 ice maker. The ice is small and chewable. It’s not quite like that great gas station or fast food ice, but close. The machine is pretty quiet overall and I like that. I do not like the fact that melted water drips out every time you open the ice bin though. Sometimes it is quite a bit of water. If I could suggest an improvement, that would be it.
