Love my new ice maker

I love my new ice maker. GE Profile 2.0 It was so easy to set up and to prepare for making ice. I actually used some ice this morning and I love it. You will not be disappointed if you purchase this one.

Love the extra tank.

I had the older Opel version before GE took the product over. So far this 2.0 version from GE is much quieter and needs less input with the extra tank.

This thing is amazing, had a huge family get together and the ice machine was never empty. It doesn’t come with a water filter but you definitely need to buy one. Keeps you water and ice nice and clean. Great investment!

Great ice ... things to know noted below

We love the ices produced. It's amazing
It does run all the time. When you use ice it will turn on but before it can replenish fully it puts itself in to some kind of defrosting cycle melting half the progress it made. Then it will resume making ice only to get almost full then need to defrost again... it's not a huge deal and I have never came up to it and not been able to fill my cup. But I could see it struggling to keep up in a high usage situation. It make a low rumble sound in operation and sometimes squeaks while compressing the ice. On occasion when I wake up in the morning it will be half empty and I need to open and close the door to get it started. I would not purchase this item without the side tank... I feel like you would be having to constantly open the door and check the level. Also fill it quite frequently without the side tank. As long as you know all the above you will love this machine like we do
