Love it so far

So far this has been just wonderful. The installation instructions could stand to be expanded, at least for me. The type of ice it makes keeps my drinks colder and with a more true taste. I love the options I have as far as controlling it via the app. I love it to have a lower selling price, perhaps that will come as more ice makers hit the market.

I love love love this nugget ice maker! It produces enough ice in a small amount of time. It’s quiet and compact. It’s like having upgraded Sonic ice right at home. It’s perfect!

I so loved this machine if it was not so much I think it is a great investment being that I chew on ice because I am anemic. I hate I had to return it though maybe tax time next year I can repurchase and keep it

Nugget ice is the best! Now I do not have to travel to fast food retailers for chewy ice! This thing is a life saver.

Nugget Ice Maker

We love the style of ice it makes. There are a few flaws that we have encountered while using it. To much excess water seeps into the bin with the nuggets of ice and causes the ice to stick together. The other issue we have run into while using this device is sometimes it stops mid cycle and stops making ice. We aren’t sure what is causing that.

Hi there, we're glad to see you love the ice and that you'd recommend our ice maker, but sorry your ice has been sticking together and it's sometimes stopping mid cycle. We can see how this would be aggravating and we're happy to help.
We first want you to know we're happy to share your comments about the ice sticking with our product development team so they can look into that.
Next, the schedule may be enabled via the SmartHQ™ App. Once the schedule is enabled, Opal will check to see if it should be on or off once every hour. If you manually turn Opal on but it is scheduled to be off, it will shut off the next time it checks the schedule. This will usually occur at the top of the hour. When scheduling ice, select every hour that you want ice produced. For example, if you want ice from 12pm until 5pm, select 12:00, 1:00, 2:00, 3:00, 4:00 and 5:00pm. In order to fix this issue, go to the mobile app and disable the schedule or unplug Opal, wait a few seconds, then plug back in.
Another reason your machine stops making ice could be that the ice bin must be fully inserted or Opal will turn itself off after approximately 5 minutes.
If this continues to happen, we suggest you contact Opal Support at myopalservice.com or call 866-907-6718, M-F 8-8 EST. We're wishing you the best and we hope you find this useful.
