I’m obsessed!

I absolutely love chewable ice and this machine delivers! It’s a game changer for our drinks at home! The only complaint would be that it is a bit noisy…but totally worth it!

Your new icemaker can make some sounds that are unfamiliar to you - luckily, most of these sounds are normal! Hard surfaces like floors, walls, and countertops can amplify these sounds. Solid countertop Nugget Ice Maker!

The Opal 2.o has exceeded al expectations. It provide high quality nugget ice and does so in quick fashion! I have entertained three times with 8-10 guests and did not run out of ice at any time for several drinks per person! Very happy with this purchase.

The Best, but could be better

Love most of it. Great ice, constant feed. The reservoir shouldn't cost extra. Should come with the first filter. Watery. The tray is a poor excuse for dripping when it opens. Should hold more ice. Just a couple of people use it at a party and the ice is gone. The Wifi app is underwhelming. Should have more and better features.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We do apologize for the performance and feature issues you've experienced. This can be pretty discouraging and we also appreciate your suggestions about the reservoir and the filter.
It's not considered normal operation for the drip tray to not be able to successfully collect the condensation from beneath the Opal. If it's correctly in place and there's still a leak, then we recommend contacting Opal Support at myopalservice.com or call 1-866-907-6718 to take advantage of your product warranty.

I’vee we had this product less than a month and it’s not working properly. It does not pull from the water reserve tank.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi there - We are so sorry that your new Opal isn't working properly. This can be very discouraging and we understand your disappointment.
There may be bubbles in the tube connecting the Side Tank to the Opal if the tube is not laying flat. Try adjusting the tube to allow the water to flow. Once the water line is cleared, water should start flowing and should not need further adjusting. If this does not work, remove the Side Tank from the base and then place it back in the base. This should clear any air that is trapped.

My wife thought I was nuts

I told my wife I wanted to purchase this ice maker and she thought I was crazy. Said we already had a new GE refrigerator that made ice. I tried to explain how this ice would be so much better. Softer in the mouth and easier to chew. She just stared at me. So, naturally I ordered it. Now instead of staring at me she stares at the ice maker with a huge smile on her face. We just giggle at how much we love the ice this machine makes. 5 stars!!
