Great ice maker

This is a great ice maker. We use it daily so the extra tank is helpful. Only downside is the ice doesn’t stay frozen. It melts and the water recycles. So the bottom ice is 1/2 melted and harder. So the best ice is on top. For the price it would have been nice if it kept the ice frozen. Don’t regret buying. Easy set up. Fits easily on counter and is beautiful.

Makes ice swiftly, quietly. We have the extra water attachment which I'd recommend. Nuggets are nice and crunchie. The fact that it's a smart machine makes it even better!

This is awesome! I love the “sonic” or “good” ice. It is amazing to be able to walk into my kitchen and have it at my fingertips. Good ice = good life!

Replaced a noisy unit (not GE)

Very Quiet so far! Last machine (not GE brand) sounded like a steam engine, and loudly shot nugget ice out with a bang ! Previous machine was less than 6 months old, but would have been cost prohibitive to ship back for repairs. Got smart and purchased a product protection plan this time (5 year)

Your new icemaker may make sounds that are not familiar - the good news is that most of these sounds are completely normal. Hard surfaces like the floor, walls, and countertops can amplify these sounds. I absolutely love the GE opal 2.0! It makes the softest ice. I found that cleaning mines every 2-3 days keeps it running nice and smooth.

ICE JUST LIKE SONIC!!!

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend because he would buy cups of ice EVERY day from Sonic or other location that had an ice machine that made nugget style ice. It works perfectly... and has changed our lives... lol... I recommend this product 100%
