Awesome Ice Maker

I got this ice maker because my wife and kids love nugget Ice. The machine makes ice quickly. Having a side water container is also a plus. I would highly recommend this ice maker.

Good for a few months

This product operates as advertised for several months, then demonstrates a decline in productivity akin to legacy pro athletes who just landed their big contract. Unless GE decides to back their product with a reasonable warranty, realize that they know their design brings limited shelf life, and that you should stay away. Less than two years after purchasing ours, it now makes a very expensive water reservoir that conveniently accommodates the kids’ photo magnets that the new refrigerators no longer hold.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My favorite type of ice!

This makes the little nuggets of ice, which is what I love. The capacity is pretty big, too, and the ice maker will continue to make ice to fill it up whenever you take any. It was easy to set up; we just had to find a nice roomy counter spot for it. It's not HUGE, but it does take up some space. We use up a lot of ice from our refrigerator and often run out during the summer months, so this is a perfect machine to supplement our ice supply.
The reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is because it can be LOUD during the times it's making ice. We haven't taken the time yet to figure out why or if there is anything we can do to quiet it. But there were a couple times we had to just turn it off because it was WAILING, and the kids were asleep. There is a bluetooth feature which I didn't think I would use much. But when it was loud, it was nice that I was in the other room and was able to turn it off with my phone instead of going to it to shut it off!
Overall though, I love this ice maker. Just need to figure out how to make it quieter....

I wanted this nugget ice maker ever since it was a Kickstarter campaign and it has only become better since GE redesigned it. It produces ice fast and the ice stays Replenished throughout the day. Everyone loves it, definitely worth the purchase!

I saw this at a department store when I purchased a new recliner. I was so excited. I've been wanting an ice maker but had never seen one that is a counter top like this one. I only new about the larger industrial size. I've been going to the convenience store for years and filling up 44 oz cups with ice. Don't care for bagged ice. So excited I don't have to do that any more. Ice nuggets are smaller, but that's ok. Would totally recommend!!
