I've enjoyed the Opal for a few months and think it's a great addition to my GE products in my kitchen. I love that I can schedule it to run at certain hours and support my usage times

I researched the best “Sonic ice” maker for a while and kept coming back to the GE. We really enjoy this on a daily basis. You are going to need the reservoir to keep up with daily consumption. Very easy to use & clean.

Expensive, but great!

We love our new ice maker. It's key to have the side reservoir, so you don't have to refill as often. My two hiccups for it would be the price, it's very expensive, and the it doesn't have a holder for the scoop. We just have it sit on top of the machine. It would be nice if it had a slot on the side to slip it into.

Love this ice maker!

The nugget ice is perfect, and it makes ice quickly too. It does make a squeaking noise occasionally but we've gotten use to it
