I had been eyeing this product for months. I finally pulled the trigger and I am so glad I did! We use this ice maker all the time- I already have friends and family that have bought one because they loved ours so much.

Nugget ice is addictive and this mighty machine provides an unlimited amount!
Pros:
- best ice ever
- able to eat ice with invisalign
- makes ice automatically when ice is removed
- large water tank, just fill up once a day
- cleaning isn't too bad
- water tank can go on either side or if you don't use the plastic clip it can be placed behind the machine
- light feature is nice for getting ice in the middle of the night
- best ice ever

Cons:
- loud, BUT if kept in the kitchen or away from living room it's not that bad and you don't really notice if after awhile
- there is a water tray to catch leaks when the door opens, it does great catching it, just annoying (note the machine doesn't leak, the door is built so when ice melts it's reused and leaves the ice tank... the water in the ice tank leaks when the door opens because the design needs to be tweaked...there are no cracks)
- the ice scoop is perfect size, just wish there was a hook, so it doesn't have to sit on top or the water leak tray
- price point is high, but if you are an ice person or working from home then it's worth the expense - I do wish for this price that some of these cons didn't exist, but I am happy with my investment

I have not used the app, so I cannot comment on the wifi connection or app.

I bought our Opal Nugget Ice Machine 5 years ago when it was a new product and sold only by Opal/First Build. We LOVE the ice our machine makes and we like the machine a lot. We use it ALL THE TIME. We learned that It is very important to descale the machine regularly using an ice machine descaler. Ours started squealing which was because there was mineral deposit in the machine. If descaled and cleaned regularly (every 1 to 6 months depending on the mineral content of your water) it works fine. It is very easy to do. Since ours is one of the first (not the 2.0) it does not have a side water tank. I wish it could be attached to a water source so I wouldn't have to refill it all the time (at least once daily). If they made one that did I'd buy it!
