Love love love this Ice maker. Kept up with demand on Thanksgiving with 20 in the house. Looks great, sleek. Love the side water tank.

We absolutely love sonic ice and when our ice maker in our condo broke we decide to get a tabletop ice maker. This was beyond our expectations. Just in time for Thanksgiving and our big family. It kept up with our demands and was was constantly full. I was worried it would be too large because our kitchen it not very big, but it fit perfect.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It’s Okay

I like the machine a lot. It makes the perfect ice and is what I bought it for. Perfect for a family and a great size for countertop, man cave etc. We use it everyday! However, I have a couple issues. The first is when I opened it up the the tray that goes under the machine to keep water off of the countertop was bent. It still works but I feel like I need a new one since the machines are so expensive. Second, which is the main issue, is the machine squeaks whenever it’s making the ice. About every 10 seconds it makes a squeaking noise which is aggravating. As long as the company takes care of it for me while it’s under warranty I’m fine with it. I’m about find out if they’re good for their word. I’m going to call them in the next few days to get it straightened out one way or the other. All in all I love it, but the reason I give it 3 stars is because of the 2 issues and I would give it 5 stars as long as they take care of the issues.

If you're hearing this squeaking noise, this would be normal and means that the Opal needs to defrost. When the Opal is in need of defrosting, it may start to squeak as ice starts to build up around the mechanisms. The defrost cycle is automatic and may take 30-45 minutes.
