How did I live without it?!?

We will never be able to be satisfied with ice cubes ever again, now that we've used our GE opal ice maker! We absolutely love it! We go through about three buckets a day. It makes ice so quickly, it is the perfect kind of ice;; not to melty not to frozen. It also is incredibly easy to clean and maintain! Super glad we invested in this appliance for our family. Even our friends will ask for a tall glass of ice water when they come over for a movie nights.

This ice maker is a game changer for those people that love “Sonic type” ice. We use distilled water to keep it free of mineral build up. It is loud, but I don’t care.

The ice crystals are the perfect crunchiness. The recycled water feature takes the worry out of an overflowing reservoir. Great for those times when the in refrigerator ice maker just can’t keep up.

I finally have my own Sonic ice machine!!

We have wanted a pellet ice maker forever. This ice maker looks great and we sprung for the side tank so we won't have to put water in it every time we want to use it. Set up is easy but it does take a little time sanitizing it. It is substantial -- my husband and I moved it from the floor to the counter together (but then we're old!!). It looks great on the counter even if it does take up a lot of room. And it definitely needs space around it because the ice maker puts out a lot of heat (esp from the back). But in just under two hours we had a full bin of ice! And it IS the good ice. If the Opal continues to operate in the future the way it has the first day, happiness and pebble ice will fill our house :-))
