Love that the is ALWAYS available and FRESH. Some people underestimate fresh ice. No more trips to our local Buc-ee’s buying cups of ice to store for a couple days use. Absolutely one of our best purchases and time savers.

Super easy and convenient! The whole family loves it, especially the opal ice itself! Fits perfectly on the counter, under our cabinets. I have already recommended it to family and friends!

Much better than version 1.0

This 2.0 version is so much better! As an owner of both models, this one is much sleeker, more modern, and quieter than the first version. Additionally, the fan setup and cooling is more efficient which allows it to make ice faster. The Alexa integration and the mobile app allow much better timer and smart home functionality. Overall, very pleased with the improvements made over version 1.0. Despite the price still being a bit steep, I’d definitely recommend!

Perfect sized ice made quick!

Easy to install, easy to clean. Ice comes out in consistent nugget size every time. One note, while it does start making ice within about 30min, I do feel like you need to give it an hour or two before you have a full bucket of ice. Pricey item so if it’s not in your budget I wouldn’t stretch for it, it’s just ice after all. However if you can afford it, it has been such a fun treat and has made each drink more delicious.

This ice maker is a fantastic addition to our kitchen. The ice is perfect for any beverage (water, soda, iced coffee, cocktails, etc.) or even just chewing. The cleaning is fairly simple, but we do use filtered water for cleaning and filling. I imagine if you use tap water, it may have more build up over time. This is an expensive product, but we don't have any regrets purchasing it.

Perfect ice in no time!

After doing a ton of research, we decided to bite the bullet and splurge on this product. We based our decision on multiple reviews across many sites online. We wanted pure nugget ice not hollow bullet ice. And this machine is worth the investment. Our refrigerator's ice machine freezes over and is therefore unreliable. So this was just the thing we needed. Set up was a bit confusing, but we figured it out. And it can get quite noisy. So those are the only two "cons" to this machine.

When Opal is in need of defrosting, it may start to squeak as ice starts to build up around the mechanisms. The defrost cycle is automatic, and may take 30-45 minutes. During this time, the front button won’t respond.
