Best ice ever!

I really love this icemaker. I wish it wasn’t quite so expensive, but I’m definitely getting my moneys worth. My unit has been very quiet, some people have complained about loud noise. I feel like if that’s happening you need to have it serviced! Using the app to set daily times for one to have my eyes begin has been very helpful instead of just having it run 24/7. I wish somehow it could go a little longer between cleaning cycles, but I’m willing to do what is necessary to keep this wonderful and expensive device running smoothly.

I don't usually write reviews but my new opal deserves praise. It's pricey but WOW it's awesome. I've had other countertop ice makers but nothing like this. If you're looking for a top of the line, best bang for the buck, app controlled unit then this is the one for you.

Great little ice maker

Wow what a nice little ice maker. So quiet yet so pleasantly fast. My whole family walks by and grabs a cup of ice just to eat by itself. Good way to get your family to drink more water bc no mater what they mix with the ice the cup always comes back empty.

What we have been looking for

After our ice maker began to freeze up constantly we began to look for a separate on counter ice maker. The GE Profile met all of our check marks and makes the best ice. It was easy to set up and begin running. For anyone who loves good ice, this is the product for you. I would highly recommend this product to anyone.

Works great but LOUD

I bought this for my husband because our ice maker in the fridge was always clogging. This machine works great, but it is louder and larger than i anticipated. The ice it makes are small pellets which is great for soda, but not as good for adult beverages. Needs to be set up near a sink because when you unplug the hose to clean it, the water starts gushing out. Yet, it is a good machine and I'm still glad I bought it.
