There is a percentage of Americans that love this ice!!!! We go to many lengths to buy our soda from those restaurants/fast food places all because of their ice. Now I have it in my own home!!!!!!! I just love it!

My third favorite appliance

1) Air conditioner, 2) Refrigerator, 3) Opal Ice Maker
We love this ice maker and are getting ice out of it all day long. They refer to this as "Opal 2.0". We owned the original Opal as well...and while we loved it, it was an extremely finicky appliance...prone to loud noises and intermittent operation. We're about a month into owning Opal 2.0. She is a lot quieter than her predecessor. The ice bucket is an improvement (It won't fall out on your like the old one could). I still plan to clean and descale it regularly. We have soft water, but I'm trying to stay a head of any issues. Hopefully, Opal 2.0 has better inner workings than Opal 1.0. Regardless, we LOVE this ice.

Great Little Ice Maker

I just installed this ice maker a few days ago, but so far I am very pleased with it. Installation was very easy. It only took a short time to fill with ice. It doesn't take up much counter space and it looks very nice sitting on my counter top. I was hesitant to order it, but so glad I did.

I really like the Opel ice maker. I have had other counter top models but none of this quality. I was hesitant about the price when I purchased it. It’s well worth the money and am considering buying a second one for my other home.

I mean, what can I say, an at home ice maker that makes the “good ice”, what’s not to love. Pros: makes ice much faster than I was anticipating and the extra side water container is great! Minor con: it’s admittedly larger/heavier than I was anticipating (although that’s my fault for not reading the description carefully). It ended up in our basement (wanted it in our bar area), but we’re still super happy with this purchase!
