Slick improvement on the first model

We had the firstbuild edition of the ice maker, and loved it! Sadly, we didn’t take great care of it and it died. Obviously, we couldn’t live without our nugget ice, so after a little research (pretty much just between the models), we got this one coming! It arrived quickly, produced ice almost immediately, and has been amazing. It’s super quiet compared to the last one, and so many features we disliked have been addressed. Much more user friendly and definitely worth getting. We haven’t gotten the app to work, but that didn’t matter at all to us, so it’s not a negative on our part. Would definitely recommend! Just make sure to take care if it.

I love my ice machine. But after two weeks the wifi symbol disappeared and won’t come back no matter what I do. So now I can’t use the app because of that.

I am writing this because. I’ve already had the earlier model and it wasn’t as well designed as this 2,0. The ice bin is better and side by side it makes ice faster and is much less noisy as compared to the earlier model. The knowing that the unit is defrosting is an added feature that I think I will like.

Great icemaker. Produces nugget ice quickly. The only thing that may be of concern is that it is a little noisy when it is making the ice. It is not intermittent, it is pretty constant for a couple hours until all the ice is made then again when the ice is low. If this is in your basement bar that is not much of an issue. Probably something you want to use for parties and intermittent use since it does run quit a bit as the ice melts and new ice is made and the ice is not cooled in any matter.

I've only had it for 20 days, but I'm loving it! Pricey, yes, but it was basically a bucket list item for me. My favorite thing to do is recreate the Cherry Limeade from Sonic, obviously, but I use this ice for any and all drinks.
