Awesome Ice

We recently bought the Opal 2.0 nugget ice machine and it has been great. We were quite surprised to see ice being made just 10 minutes after the last clean cycle. I had a concern about the noise but although it does produce sound; it is only discernable in the early morning hours before my kids wake up. We don't notice the machine running during the day. I love the fact that it stops making ice once the bin is full and also that you can set a schedule to make ice. We wake up to a full bin of ice and come home from work and school to an ice full. The 3lb capacity has been plenty although we did save a couple of gallon-sized bags in the freezer if we ever needed any more. We have found that the machine takes a little more than 3 hours to fill up.

I was hesitant to spend the $$$ after reading so many bad reviews. I’ve only had it for a week but so far I love it. Cleaning it is easy, I do not think it’s too loud, and the nuggets are perfect! It is aesthetically pleasing and it’s been a huge hit at the house. Everyone wants the ice now!

Best Ice Ever

The ice maker has been awesome, it makes great ice, it's efficient, the water reservoir holds sufficient water to last plus it has the added benefit that I use spring water to refill and therefore I get pure ice also reducing cleaning cycles. I placed the machine in the laundry are as it can be heard; therefore if you can keep it under a closed door area it will be perfect. It's simple, efficient and effective. I am very pleased.

Works great, makes fantastic ice! FYI........ I received the “Add Water” notification after about 20 minutes into the ice making cycle, but the side tank still had plenty of water. I realized that I had too many things plugged into the same outlet as the ice maker. Once I unplugged the other appliance, the machine started making ice and I haven’t had that issue again.
