I love the chew on ice. I’ve loved the “good” ice for so long and would comment how I wish we could have that ice at home. Well now I have and I chomp on it all the time! Easy to use!

Very Satisfied, but there are a few things

Overall I'm very satisfied with this Opal 2.0 ice maker, but there are a few annoyances. The constant drips you get when you open the drawer to get ice definitely explains the added tray for the front. Also I really wonder about the water recycling component, not really sure it does that because I'm always filling the reservoir tank. The noise level is manageable, I can deal with it for the wonderful trade off of the nugget ice.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This ice machine was super easy to set up and supplies lots of great ice in a short period of time! I was reluctant to purchase due to the cost, but I'm so glad I did!

Great improvements from original

As an absolute fan of nugget ice we decided to get the 2.0 to replace our sadly broken first generation Opal. The improvements are great such as the side water tank and non leaking front drawer but it's still a pain to clean and takes up a ton of counter space but we will put up with it for that delicious nugget ice!

Hope I don't jink myself, but the ice maker has been quite good thus far. My all-time favorite ice on demand is pretty cool. Set up directions are not entirely clear regarding water reservoir, but I figured it out.
