Best gift ever!

My husband surprised me with this ice maker after wanting one for years! Since setting it up, I’ve been drinking water non-stop. My kids too!! All my friends and family beg for ice!

Nice but noisy and smelly

Works well, but the case vibrates against something inside and is loud. Putting a hand on the case stops it. Would be disappointing for a machine that costs even half this much. Also, something in the external tank seems to mildew easily. I clean it the best I can, but the smell comes back. Gross.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My original opal only lasted 2 years even though I took meticulous care. The pump gave out. I only wish it was easier and cost evlffective to repair them.....I hope this one does better! First impressions are great. More intuitive, great ice, and more aesthetically pleasing.

So far it has been flawless. There is a bit more maintenance such as cleaning once a week. It’s not hard at all once you get it down. Takes about 20 min to complete. Produces perfect ice and fairly quick. I would buy another in heartbeat. It is a bit pricy but if it last a long time like the other profile series I’ve had I’m good.
