This ice maker is awesome! Plugged it in at 6 pm and was enjoying an adult beverage at 10 pm. with the nugget (Sonic) ice!

"The Good Ice" on demand

Our family is loving having an always ready supply of the best just right crunchy nuggets of ice in view on the countertop. From ice water to cold smoothies to iced coffee, all are much easier to make when your ice is just a scoop away. Game changer.

Exactly the ice we hoping for when we purchased! The only issue is noise: when the system is pulling water from the holding tank, it is LOUD. Otherwise, we are completely satisfied.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My new Opal Ice Maker

Love it so far, makes great ice and looks terrific. Initially was a little worried about the noise level but it has quietened down and you only run it when you want ice anyway.

The “Good Ice” Machine

Easy to install, solidly packaged (one note is that I would recommend redesigning the packaging so it’s reusable...maybe using the clips like they put on big flatscreen tv boxes) instructions are very straightforward. Easy to clean, easy to fill the side tank which is way more convenient than using the reservoir. Ice starts in less than 20 minutes and you’ll have a usable amount in about an hour. WiFi is a great feature to set a schedule so it’s not running 24/7. If you’ve been looking for the “good ice” at home, this is the machine for you.

This really is a nice machine

We wanted to upgrade our ice machine and considered this vs. a built in. Our old ice machine was a IKICH (Amazon's choice). This is significant upgrade from that or any other countertop ice maker I've seen -- it looks like a real kitchen appliance. Built solid, nice finish. Makes great ice quickly -- the good ice! The reservoir holds amble water. I saw others who talked about noise -- but for us, this version is much quieter than my old countertop ice machine. Go for it. I love the 2nd year free warranty from the GE Appliances website.

You will never have to worry about running out of ice. This device keeps ice nice and fresh, even if you're aware from home for hours at a time. You can also control the device from any smartphone. Super Cool!
