We love SONIC ICE and moved to the land of no Sonic's 9 years ago. The OPAL is a dream come true. It produces the best ice and we are truly happy with it. We were nervous when we installed it because we could see water seeping into the ice catcher, but researched and found out that was normal. Also, on the day of installation it produced ice very slowly. Then it started getting faster and faster over time. We love it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I absolutely will buy another one when this one quits, if that ever happens. I used to go to sonic at least 5-6 times a week, I don’t now, so it is actually paying for itself. The ice is soft and easy to eat, just the right size. It can be turned off it you need it off and during no use it actually does like a sleep mode where it quits producing, like overnight, then in the morning just open it, move the ice around and it starts producing again. Really nice
machine and well worth the money, I am not wealthy but some things are just worth paying extra for. It is General Electric, a good product. I do recommend putting a dish cloth in front where the “drip tray” is to absorb the water that drips when you open the ice bin. It is not
necessary, it just makes me feel better that it is there.
