The initial cleaning and installation process was straightforward and easy. My unit has the optional water tank and that connected very simply it is very clean and sleek looking appliance and 20 minutes after installation I already have ice to enjoy.

Great Product, A few improvements

Overall the GE ICE maker is GREAT. It makes ice quick and in the perfect size.
The few cons are that the ice maker is fairly noisy, so if you plan to put it in your kitchen, beware it will make a good bit of noise, so much that I have to turn my TV volume up to hear over it. When the product defrosts, it sometimes makes a loud squealing noise. I'm not sure if that's expected or a defect? I planned to email the manufacturer, but I read same issue from others.

So far we are really enjoying this icemaker. It makes excellent ice for chewing and it’s pretty fast as well.
There are a couple of cons. It does sometimes make noise and we just turn it off for a bit and this seems to take care of it. The other con is the price. Seems a bit expensive for what it is. But we still love it.

The ice maker is extra easy to use, clean, and enjoy. My 5 yr old granddaughter tells me constantly that it makes the best ice ever. It's fast and keeps the bin full. Very tasty and is great for the holiday season drinks. I absolutely love it and don't know what I would do without it! Thank you GE you've done it again.
